Out with pyenv and Poetry, in with Rye. No out with Rye, in with uv! Rye was created by Armin Ronacher (creator of Flask and much more), adopted by Astral, and more or less replaced with uv. Despite the VC-backed vibes of Astral, it’s actually really well-thought-through and entirely based on the new Python packaging standards. Unlike Poetry, which did what was necessary before those standards existed, but is now just a bit weird and unnecessarily different.
